Four of these songs (Headlong, Whistle on the Wind, If in Case..., and Ft. Lauderdale) were written during February 2013; others were written at various times in the past -- although some have never been shared before now. "Interzone" is actually the only one that I have played out very often, although it has different chords here than ever before. There's a good live recording of this song from Spirit in the Boot #2 on my Soundcloud page. I recorded these songs in my room on a hand-held digital recorder; they were performed on my old Aria acoustic guitar (the one I stepped on in the dark once and broke the neck off it and glued it back on with Elmer's wood glue) and a mostly functional "Folkmaster" harmonica. One track, one take; no overdubs, no editing, and no effects. My favorite parts on this album are when I hit a bad reed on the harmonica and forget the chord progression at the same time.
